Anwar Ali is an LA based actor and writer. He has worked in theatre, film, and television for the past decade having worked on stage at Williamstown Theatre Festival, Trinity Rep, Pride   Plays/ Rattlestick, among others. Drawn to acting and the human spirit,  Anwar is currently developing his own solo show centering on his recent  cancer journey and the hilarious and haunting memories that came back to  life from it. Anwar has a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Brown University. Recent television credits include Genius MLK/X (Disney+) and  P-Valley (Starz).  IG and TikTok:  @theanwarali

Holly Jo Hubbell is a Los Angeles–based actor drawn to stories rooted in resilience, humor, and human connection. A graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design with a BFA in Performing Arts, she has worked across theatre, film, television, and national commercials, including CBGB, Rearview, the world premier of Over the F#(%!NG Rainbow, Somewhere, and campaigns for Her's and Re/Max. She continues to study with MC² Actors Studio, grounding her work in curiosity, vulnerability, and truth. Holly believes storytelling is an act of empathy and courage. She is deeply honored to be part of The Fire Stories Project, having lost her home in the Eaton Fire, and finds hope in sharing stories that help rebuild community. 

Mary Michele Miner  (Stage Manager)  

Credits include the Mark Taper Forum, Ahmanson, Geffen, among other Los Angeles theaters. Other California credits include Laguna Playhouse, La Jolla Playhouse, Magic Theater as well as many other venues. She has worked on Broadway and Off-Broadway, and at many regional theatres around the country. She taught Stage Management at Pomona College. Married to actor Paul Perri and mother of Jake and Justine. She is the author of Their Moon Was Cardboard, a murder mystery tongue-in-cheek account of a fictitious stage manager. Proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Janet Greaves is a British actor living in Pasadena, California. She first came to Los Angeles on a British tour of As You Like it with The Peter Hall Company, which played at the Ahmanson Theatre, CTG. She has worked in theatre, tv and film for over 35 years as both a performer and director.  A passionate champion of young people, Janet has been a foster parent and a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She believes young people should be seen and their voices should be heard.

Mireya (Murry) Hepner has lived in Pasadena for 25 years.  Her 40 year theatre career includes work on Broadway, Off Broadway, in Regional Theatre, and on tour, working on diverse projects in various artistic, production and management capacities. As Artistic Producer of Rancho Cucamonga’s MainStreet Theatre Company, she curated and collaborated on 40 innovative shows geared specifically for children and family audiences. She believes deeply in creating theatre that encourages empathy and that opens young minds to new possibilities. She is a past board member of TYA/USA, and a recipient of the Children's Theatre of America's 2025 Orlin Corey Medallion.   

Noel McCarthy is an Artist and Production Designer with much love for Altadena. The map was designed to help promote a better understanding of what happened in January 2025 - for both those outside of Altadena and those that are still experiencing it within. 

The original map is outside of the Good Neighbor Bar in Altadena.

In Other People's Shoes Productions was launched in 2021 to tell imaginative, impactful and artistic stories for young people and families from all walks of life. Our goal is to lift up and highlight stories of diverse communities, so that all children are able to experience the richness of not only their own culture, but of cultures different from their own. We envision a world where every member of our community is safe from racism and discrimination, and has equitable opportunities to thrive. 

In addition to Fire Stories Project, we are also working with José Cruz González on The Wondrous Adventures of Pia Sandia, a cinematic audio series, and (In)VIsible Me by June Carryl, part of the national BIPOC Superhero project.

dedicated to improving the hope, wellbeing, and life trajectory of residents. LACDMH provides direct and contracted services, including crisis intervention, outpatient care, and community outreach, to over 250,000 residents annually across L.A. County

The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH), in partnership with CalHOPE, is providing free, specialized mental health and support services to those affected by the 2025 Eaton and Palisades wildfires, with support extended through June 2026. These services, including trauma and crisis counseling, aim to assist with anxiety, depression, and long-term recovery.

PLUS ME Project  

 is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit that uses personal storytelling to help young people recognize the power and value of their experiences. Through their story-based programs for students, educators, and parents/guardians, they guide participants in developing the skills to reflect, communicate, and connect—building stronger senses of identity, empathy, and belonging.

Their work combines a meaning-making process, self-reflection, and narrative development to help students not only tell their stories but also see themselves as capable of shaping their futures.
