We're thrilled to produce a staged reading of AND THEN THEY CAME FOR ME: Remembering the World of Anne Frank by James Still. The reading is part of the first fundraising gala for In Other People’s Shoes Productions and coincides with our 4th anniversary in June 2025.
This powerful play about two real teenagers is based on the memories of two Holocaust survivors who were friends of Anne Frank in Amsterdam, and includes their videotaped testimony with actors taking over to help tell their stories. Because of everything happening in our country, this true story is sadly relevant again and we’re doing our part to remind everyone what can happen when hate goes unchecked.
We are proud to present resonant, impactful stories created for young people. This fundraiser is vital to support our ongoing work.
Funds from the event will support our upcoming projects, which include a full production of June Carryl’s (In)Visible Me, an Audio Drama version of José Cruz Gonzalez’s The Wondrous Adventures of Pia Sandia, and the Fire Stories Project, which the company is developing to help the community heal after the Eaton Fire.
The fundraising gala will also include a reception with refreshments, a silent auction and an opportunity to meet the artists.
Your ticket includes general seating to the reading and the reception.
